Solar power calculator — what to expect
Solar Power in Townsville, Mackay & Whitsundays
Solar Power Mackay
For Mackay homeowners, a 10kW solar system can generate around 40–44 kWh daily, making it ideal for families with high energy use or pool pumps.
Combined with a battery, this setup can cut bills by up to 90% and provide blackout protection.
With rebates and falling solar costs, Mackay residents are seeing system ROI in as little as 3–5 years.
Solar Power Townsville
A typical 15.84kW solar system in Townsville produces around 66–71 kWh per day, depending on roof angle and shading.
When paired with at least 20 kWh of batteries, that’s enough to cover most household bills.
Thanks to Townsville’s strong sunshine hours and current solar rebates, payback is often under 5–7 years, with long-term savings guaranteed.
Solar Power Whitsundays
In the Whitsundays, a 13.2kW solar + battery system typically produces around 55–60 kWh per day.
Plenty to run air-conditioning, appliances, and even EV charging while enjoying reliable backup power during outages.
With current rebates and feed-in tariffs, many Whitsunday households achieve $0 power bills while increasing property value.
