How Shane From Bowen Keeps The Power On Through Every Outage

Who Shane Is

Reliable Power Isn't Optional In Bowen

Shane requires reliable power at home for his chair lift and with the frequent power outages, common in Far North Queensland, his normal power supply doesn’t meet those needs. Kon from our Green Energy Technologies Team found the perfect solution for Shane’s energy problem.

The Problem

Solar Alone Couldn't Beat The Blackouts

Shane originally had solar and a small power bill but he was vulnerable to blackout and power loss because of natural disasters like flooding and cyclones.

As part of his home workshop, Shane operates some pretty heavy machinery, so he wanted to add some additional solar panels and a battery to run the machinery and get rid of his energy bill all together!

The Solution

Solar That Banks Its Power For When It Matters

The GET Battery solution delivers by producing solar energy for the home, while the battery charges during the day and uses the banked battery power for the night and also in the case of power outages.

Green Energy Technologies’ solar solution includes a 3kW SolaX hybrid inverter with 13kWh SolaX LG batteries and 4.5kW of additional solar panels.

The Outcome

Air Conditioning Without Stress, And A Chair Lift That Always Works

Shane now runs his air conditioner without stress and has the battery for power outages and night time usage.

The biggest benefit of the solar battery is Shane’s ability to get out of the house during an outage or in an emergency. He can also choose to stay at home during extended outages caused by natural disasters like cyclones and flooding. Having access to power can be a necessity and solar batteries are one of the best ways to guarantee a constant supply regardless of the grid.
