A Rollout Planned Around A Facility That Never Stops

In collaboration with Proserpine Nursing Home, Green Energy Technologies delivered a comprehensive solar and battery solution designed to significantly reduce energy costs while ensuring a reliable and sustainable power supply. The project was executed in a carefully planned, multi-stage rollout, allowing for seamless integration without disrupting the critical daily operations of the busy nursing home.

With a total of 300kW of solar power and 124kWh of battery storage, this installation demonstrates GET’s ability to deliver scalable, high-performance solar solutions that provide long-term financial and environmental benefits.

The Build

Three Stages: 2016, 2017, 2020

Stage 1 (2016): The first phase saw the installation of a 100kW solar system, strategically placed to maximise energy generation. Advanced monitoring capabilities were integrated from the outset, allowing real-time performance tracking and optimisation. This initial step provided immediate energy cost reductions, demonstrating the potential for further expansion.

Stage 2 (2017): Building on the success of the initial system, GET expanded the solar capacity by an additional 100kW. This phase required meticulous planning to ensure minimal disruption to residents and staff. Construction and power transitions were scheduled strategically to maintain uninterrupted facility operations.

Stage 3 (2020): The final phase involved the installation of another 100kW of solar panels and the addition of 124kWh of battery storage. This upgrade significantly enhanced energy efficiency by allowing the facility to store excess solar power for use during peak demand periods and nighttime hours.
